A. On May 26, 1936, SHOWA ELECTRIC WIRE AND CABLE CO., LTD. was established.
(Spin off from Tokyo Electric Company: the current TOSHIBA CORPORATION)
On April 1, 2006, the company transitioned to a holding company structure and renamed from SHOWA ELECTRIC WIRE AND CABLE CO., LTD.
to SWCC SHOWA HOLDINGS CO., LTD.
